I’m Billy Jamez, professional magician, husband of 24 years, father, nature lover, and founder of Vermont Close-Up Magic LLC. Born in 1974 and raised in rural central Vermont, I grew up learning the values of resilience, creativity, service, and connection. 

My path has taken me from hilly VT farm fields and a family scrapyard to serving as a junior firefighter, Civil Air Patrol cadet, and later a U.S. Army Reservist.

For the past 14 years, I’ve dedicated myself to the art of close-up magic and living with a traumatic brain injury. My entertainment work goes beyond sleight-of-hand, it’s about creating moments where logic softens, wonder takes over, and joy becomes real. That spark of awe, when the world pauses for just a breath, is what I call true magic.

Whether performing at weddings, corporate events, or private gatherings, my mission is simple: to connect, uplift, and leave every audience better than I found them. Each performance is personal, heartfelt, and tailored to the people in front of me.

My wife of 24 years, Wendy, the director of operations, whos help, guidance, cheerleading, tactful business intuition, and love I am eternally appreciative for.
