I’m Billy Jamez, founder a magician for 

Vermont Close-Up Magic LLc —and I believe in real magic.
Not just the sleight-of-hand, but the moment when a room changes. When a guest gasps. When someone lets go of logic for a second and just feels joy.

My journey here was anything but ordinary. I grew up playing in junkyards, later becoming a firefighter, farmer, mechanic, and private magic performer. I’ve lived lives inside of lives—but the common thread has always been transformation. And now, I use that same energy to lift people’s spirits through magic that’s interactive, intimate, and unforgettable.

I’ve been performing professionally for over 13 years—not on giant stages, but inches from your guests.
Close-up magic is raw, personal, and impossible to fake. That’s where the good stuff lives.

My performances  heart-led and customized for each audience. Whether I’m at a wedding, a backyard party, or a corporate event, I create real connection—not just distraction.

With my wife Wendi, I run this business as a reflection of our values: authenticity, presence, and joy.
